Aimee C. Perreira MD






Dr. Aimee Perreira was born and raised in San Jose, California. She holds her Bachelor of Science from San Jose State University. She spent a year studying at the University of Hawaii at Manoa through the National Student Exchange Program during her undergraduate education. After graduating from college, she earned her Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults through Cambridge University while teaching students in Poland. She then traveled to Cusco, Peru and completed a medical Spanish course while assisting local physicians in delivering healthcare to the underserved communities in the countryside.

She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of California at Davis, where she served as a co-director for a volunteer, student-run clinic that provided healthcare to the poor. She also served on a medical mission trip to Guatemala during this time. She then completed her orthopaedic residency at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Hawaii and spent an additional year completing a research fellowship. Following this, she pursued additional training in San Antonio, Texas, where she completed a one-year fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Reconstructive Microsurgery. During this time, she did volunteer work for the Helping Hands Educational Fund, an organization that provides educational opportunities to the homeless. In her free time, Dr. Perreira enjoys running, yoga, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Perreira, her husband Christian (a local boy from Haleiwa), and son Dune, feel blessed to be back in Hawaii. She looks forward to helping you with your hand, upper extremity, and orthopaedic needs.
